Typhoon Ondoy

It was such a heart breaking to see my fellow Filipinos suffering brought by Typhoon Ondoy. There were so many families who lost their homes especially their loved ones. The places that were really affected were Marikina, Rizal, Pasig and of course Metro Manila. They didn't expect that the rains brought by Ondoy will kill many lives and dreams. Simply say, many of us just take it for granted. But, why are these happening? The answer is so simple... We are abusing and killing our Mother Nature. Philippines has many rainforest according to the articles I read long time ago... But sad to say, those trees are now in the hardware. Leaders in the government are always telling that they have law to stop those illegal logging. But were are those law? Are they just written in a piece of paper? Another thing that contributes to this horrible scenario was that, the Filipinos had no discipline in handling their garbage. The simple candy wrapper if not thrown properly can contribute to this disaster. As I observed, Filipinos just throw their garbage everywhere even if the garbage can are just in front of them. Excessive use of plastics were also the number one killer of our Mother Earth. It was to many to mention all the problems about our nature, what's the point here is that, let's have Helping Hand. All the people in the world to save our nature. It's not too late, simple things that will start in ourselves will make a difference to renew our Mother Earth.
